Kwang Lee, LEED AP

As healthcare director of NBBJ Boston, Kwang is responsible for studio operations and project management. He found his passion for healthcare architecture early in his career, while working on a neonatal intensive care unit and witnessing the power of design innovation to improve clinical operations and provide better healing environments for patients and their families.

Since then, he has led major healthcare projects — inpatient bed towers, cancer centers, ambulatory centers, musculoskeletal centers, emergency departments and imaging suites — for premier national and international institutions. Throughout his career, he has found inspiration in carefully listening to his clients' short-term needs and long-term vision; with an emphasis on future flexibility, he delivers on-time and on-budget projects focused on achieving his clients’ operational, business and financial goals and organizational values.

Kwang is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional and a strong advocate for process improvements that reduce operational waste and increase efficiency. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
