The center is Microsoft’s first on-site health clinic and can serve approximately 40,000 employees with primary care, chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, lab services, ergonomics counseling, pharmacy and infusion services. Located on the first floor of Building 21, the design supports employee wellness by making healthcare convenient, discrete, thorough and easily accessible.
A recent survey of employer health-care plans finds that 27 percent of companies with 20,000 employees or more offer on-site health-care centers focused on primary care. Most of those companies made two discoveries. First, employees consider on-site health centers a convenient benefit. Second, employers save money because services were administered locally and helped employees confront health matters before they became larger and more costly issues.
